So. Who am I?
I'm Savannah. I'm not that savvy when it comes to much, and I've never been called "Savvy" on a regular basis, but I do say "srsly" way more than any full grown adult should.
I'm a community college drop-out, which is way more fun than saying I never really could make up my mind on one degree path for long enough to actually get any degrees. It makes people squirm.
I'm kind of a nerd. Not all the way, just kind of, because I like things like Lego video games and Doctor Who and have a very rudimentary understanding of HTML. I'm like an almost kind of nerd.
I'm also an almost kind of writer. I won NaNoWriMo in 2012, which is just a fancy way of saying that I was one of the thousands that wrote a 50,000 word story in (less than) 30 days. I'm still kind of twiddling around with that story, and want to finish it someday, I'm just trying to get back into the swing of things.
I am an avid horseback rider. If avid means that I dream about it, but really am only able to do it every other week. Someday I hope that changes, but right now I feel very blessed to be able to do what I love with such frequency.
And most importantly, I'm a Christian. If you're not down with that, feel free to put me on your blacklist, but I hope you'll stick around and find out what I'm all about. Feel free to ask me questions, as well, if you're open to honest and mature discussion!
I'm two other things: A wife and a mother (also, a stay-at-homer).
My husband, David, is (get ready for the cliche!) my best friend. He's also an old friend. We had known each other for almost 8 years when we got married in December of 2009. We endured high school together, but were most definitely not high school sweethearts. Just friends. Our families are close, our parents having become friends before us kiddos did. (Did I mention that I have two siblings? I do. A younger sister and brother.)
A tad over a year after we got married, we welcomed The Girl into our lives. She is a happy, busy two-year-old now and keeps us on our feet. She loves her extend family (they all live nearby) and is an imaginative and artistic little thing. She is currently teaching us to lean heavily on grace as we deal with the willfulness that comes alongside toddlerhood, but we still love her.
So that's me, and the people who most define me. Srsly.
